GABRIELA GUASTALLI

Hey everyone! I'm Gabriela Guastalli (but you can call me Gabi), a Brazilian ESL teacher who moved to Vancouver in search of the Canadian dream. I am a people-person with a bubbly personality who loves teaching and has great rapport with students. I look forward to helping students improve their proficiency with English and boost their confidence when taking English proficiency exams.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Languages – Translation and Interpretation, a Specialization degree in English Teaching and a Master’s Degree in Education.
I started my carer as a teacher at one of Brazil’s most recognized ESL schools, FISK (Richard Hugh Fisk Foundation), where I was able to help students of all ages enhance their communication abilities in English. Seeing my students flourish into amazing human beings has been my pride and joy and it warms my heart to know that I was able to influence their lives and careers in a positive way.
I also worked as an Assistant Professor at Methodist University of Sao Paulo, where I was able to take part in mentoring distance learning courses. This experience provided me with deep development of my online teaching skills, as well as knowledge of the main online learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Moodle, Jamboard, Kahoot and EdPuzzle.
Currently, I mentor online students who are preparing to take the IELTS and CELPIP exams.
